Picture description
With Mt. Fuji in the background, women are depicted riding lotus pedestals that are carried by people, and smoking a calm cigarette while crossing, and you can feel a kind of humor. In addition, the state that the daimyo of the Sankin Kotai is crossing is drawn on the other side.
Located between Shimada-juku and Kanaya-juku on the Tokaido (present-day central Shizuoka Prefecture)
The reason why a bridge was not built over the Oi River was that bridges and ships were prohibited "for the defense of Edo".
